About Si-Hing Jacob Obrman
Headmaster and Si-Hing Jacob Obrman, 2nd Duan / teacher level Tao Chan Wing Chun Kung Fu, Trainer II licence, Senior Sifu applicant, studies Tao Chan Wing Chun in Munich under Grandmaster Abbot Chi Sim since 2016. During the last nine years, Jacob honed his skills to a degree that allows him to teach the true essence of this martial arts style to new students in a school of his own.
Jacob was born and raised in Munich. Even though being fascinated by technology, having studied Computer Science at the Technical University in Munich and working for Deutsche Telekom now, he likes being physically active and the beauty of efficiency and minimalism. The 1972 TV show “Kung Fu” was a great influence during his teenage years and after seeing the movie Ip Man, Jacob immediately identified himself with the simplistic, yet sophisticated style Donnie Yen depicted while performing.
It was clear to Jacob that Wing Chun was the style he wanted to perfect. In the Tao Chan Wing Chun Grandmaster Academy Munich, Jacob is happy to have found a rare, authentic and original school for learning the real Ip Man Wing Chun.
Si-Hing Jacob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Technical University Munich) as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Print and Media Engineering (Munich University of Applied Sciences)
Besides Czech, Si-Hing Jacob also speaks English and German fluently.
The Tao Chan Wing Chun Praha is the head school of Tao Chan Wing Chun in the Czech Republic authorized by Grandmaster Abbot Venerable Chi Sim.
The responsible Sifu for the students of Tao Chan Wing Chun Praha is Grandmaster Abbot Venerable Chi Sim, 10th Duan/Dan Grandmaster level and founder of Tao Chan Wing Chun himself.
